God sees you
Updated: Sep 2, 2022

Ps. 37:5 reads "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in Him, and He will act."
This verse fills me with hope because it speaks to God's Providence for our lives.
Commit your way to the Lord
It can be hard to commit our way to the Lord. We want control over our lives. And yet, it seems that the more that we try to be in control, the less control we have. It feels like we are squeezing a handful of sand. The harder we press, the more sand escapes through our fingers. When we "let go and let God," we have a different experience. All of a sudden, there is more peace and joy in our hearts.
Trust in him
It can be incredibly hard for us to trust. We want to be self-sufficient. We have all made the experience of having someone betray our trust. That makes it even harder. But God is waiting for us and He is always trustworthy.
He will act
God will take charge of our lives. He does not take over our lives, robbing us of our freedom. But He does open up doors that we could never have opened on our own.
God sees you. In our world, we are constantly told that we need to be seen. This is driving marketing and social media. But somehow, buying into this theory leaves us empty and sad, experiencing loneliness. On the other hand, when we gain awareness of God's presence, we feel secure, safe, and at peace.
Allow yourself to be embraced by God's love. You do not have to earn God's love. In fact, you can never do anything that would make God love you any less. So, revel in God's love. Let Him love you, and live your life as a testimony of God's love.
